Introduction
HTTP and SIP
Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is an application-level protocol for distributed, collaborative and hypermedia information systems [1].
It is a generic and stateless protocol which can be used for many tasks beyond its use of hypertext, such as distributed object management systems, through extension of its request methods, error codes and headers [1].
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is an application-layer control protocol that can establish, modify and terminate multimedia sessions or calls [2].
SIP Media sessions include multimedia conferences, distance learning, Internet telephony and other similar applications [2].
